Celebration of the New Year!

So of course, everyone celebrates on New years Eve by going to the pub or having a house party etc. And yes, every year, that's pretty much what i have been doing.
I've spent every year either over at the pub my mom worked at or at my house with loads of friends of mine, my brothers and my moms for New Year's Eve.

This year is very different. Christmas was different and so is my celebration of the New year. Christmas was extremely quiet and relaxed; We did so little yet it was so lovely. The same goes for this new years eve, I have made the decision to do nothing really. Yes I was invited to a party in a hall by my friend, but I said no to going. My friends all asked if i was having a house party, and I said no.
Not at all in a cruel way; In the way that doing my own thing seems best right now.
Relaxing and chilling out, laughing, smiling and not having to please or entertain anyone.
Nearly every party I have been to, there has been an argument between people, a few people who have had a few too many drinks!  Or just something that happens which I have ended up worrying about.
This year i want to have no worry in the world; Maybe i will read, or watch a film, and play some board games with my family, and I will have no worries with any of my friends being high on emotions. Plus the best thing about no house parties is (Of course) that you don't have to clean up all the mess the morning after!

So this post is just a very small one of mine.
Since It's New Years Eve today, I thought I would share about how I have decided to celebrate.

So remember. Don't feel like you have to celebrate in a certain way because everyone else around the world is. Do what you feel is going to make you happiest; Remember it's fine to be on your own. You don't have to go to a huge party to have a good time.

Have a fantastic New Years Eve.
Look towards making the New Year exactly how you want it!

Smile :)

Find happiness and Inspiration through music :) It works for me!

So, I don't know about you, but I love inspiration through music.

There are some lovely songs which can uplift you or inspire you to feel happy or get up and do what you have always wanted to do.
Music is such a big part my life, I don't just listen, I create.
It is my therapy, and helps me to cope with hard times.

Since breaking up from my college for the Christmas holiday, I have been rather down and sad purely because of some negativity I have experienced. However, i counted on music to help me feel more uplifted and inspired ready to start the lovely new year of 2014!

On Christmas morning I woke up, sat in bed and checked my phone.
I saw i had a notification from Facebook. It was actually a song my brother had posted on my Facebook and told me to listen to it. After I'd listened to it, I was in such a good mood! I felt I was ready to have a brilliant day. This song was called 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams :) I mean  you can see by the title that this song is very inspiring!

If you are like me and you like inspiration through music, here is a list of songs you may enjoy which will certainly pick you up when you are "down in the dumps" as they say:
- A point i must say before you read this list is that I have very varied music taste! I am a lover of music in general and love many, many different types. Some of these songs i have just happened to come across through the years and others are songs by my favourite Arists/ Bands. I appreciate that not everyone likes all music, but do not judge a song by it's artist or the name of it or genre, at the end of the day, do not be ashamed of what music you like. If you like the song, that's all that matters! Enjoy this long list of inspirational goodness :)

What people say :)

Well, as you know. What people say can really have an impact on how we feel.

Today I have come to realize this a lot!
Not in a bad way though, in a wonderful way :)
A way that makes me feel so happy.
A way that makes me feel justified!

Today four people said extremely nice things about me that made my heart warm :)

*A great friend of mine named Colin who i met on a charity walk wrote on my Facebook:
"You're an amazing person Lou, glad i met you last may and got to know you so well in the 9 hours we were walking :) xx".

*My beautiful Mom replied to my friend Colin saying:
"She is a lovely, caring person".

*An absolutely lovely lady named Cheryl who I have known a few days who is helping me said to me:
"You are such an inspiration".

*My best friend Jake from college said:
"You should write a book from your project happiness"
"I cried of happiness" (At my project happiness article about meeting him)
"It's so brilliant"
"You are amazing"
"You are bloody perfect as I always say"
"Literally everything about you is great, i have no idea why you put yourself down, there is no point, you are beautiful, you are talented and Lou that's you being YOU"
"Lou, you may think the world is against you but no, you are against the world, you show them what you are made of, and you are made of epicness"
"You are incredible"

What all of these amazing people said made me feel so proud and happy it's unreal!
I feel like I have had an impact on people which is all I ever want to do in life. With my words and my music.
I feel on top of the world if I'm honest right now.

So, find someone or a group of people who are inspired by your actions. Ask what they think of you? Or just give them a reason to say what they feel about you. It could make you feel like the happiest person alive. Making others happy makes me happy :)

Smile :)
