Why should we force ourselves to do things we don't want to do?

So. First of all. Apologies for not updating my blog for a while.
I've been faced with some negativity that has drained me, Plus starting back at college.

So, this brings me onto the question I often bring up.
'Why should we force ourselves to do things we don't want to do?'.
This question is something really important to me, therefore I decided to write about it!

The thing is, the way to be happy is to listen to yourself and follow your instincts.
If you don't want to go to a party, or you don't want to go out, then listen to what you really want and go with it. It is guaranteed the outcome will be better than if you do something you don't want to do.
For example, recently I've encountered some negativity which has caused me to feel very ill and drained; this negativity was actually caused through college and pressure.
Last Friday I decided I wasn't going to go into college as I needed to just take some time to be alone and think and take a mental breather. Now don't get me wrong, most teens don't want to go into school and some people 'cant be bothered' to go to college or work. I'm not saying it's a good thing to not go in when you feel you cant be bothered, but you should never force yourself to do something you really do not want to do. You should always try your best to get into work/ School/ College to save yourself from having to catch up or lowering attendance, however you and your health come first remember that!

Forcing yourself could cause illness, anxiety and all sorts of things. This is why it is very important to listen to yourself and your feelings.
I have felt unable to update my blog therefore I haven't forced myself to do it.
Now that I have given myself time to relax and think, I am now able to carry on normally.

So just remember. Never force yourself to do something you do not want to do.
Listen to yourself.
It's the key to feeling happy!

Smile :)
